New wine – ILUMINADO Syrah Santa María Valley 2018 by Vinos de La Luz
On the International Syrah’s Day, Iluminado Vinos de La Luz Santa María Valley, California, was displayed for the world.
A new premium wine by a grandiose international project – the Vinos de la Luz group of companies, a sponsor of the Wine Travel Awards, founded and owned by Dr. Ricardo F. Nunez, was presented on February 16, the International Syrah’s Day.
Each Iluminado Vinos de La Luz is a mono-variety made from grape varieties that are symbols for each region, where the wineries of Vinos de La Luz are located.
The first releases of Iluminado were made in 2015, and those were three wines at once:
- Iluminado 2015 Toscana IGT (Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy), made from Sangiovese grape variety;
- Iluminado Vinos de La Luz Tempranillo 2015 (Ribera del Duero, Peñafiel, Spain);
- Iluminado Vinos de La Luz – Malbec 2015 (Uko Valley, Mendoza, Argentina).
The wines Iluminado Vinos de La Luz 2015 are distinguished due to the highest points gained at the reputable world competitions. The highest assessment – 97 points and Best in Show as the “Best Wine of South America” from Decanter was gained by Iluminado Vinos de La Luz Malbec 2015 Paraje Altamira.
Now, the geographic collection of Iluminado’s stars has been replenished with another point on the map, or, rather, a star, which is Iluminado Vinos de La Luz Santa María Valley 2018, made of Syrah – one of the flagship varieties of Santa Maria Valley, that demonstrates here its best qualities.
The new wine was created by the oenologists of Vinos de La Luz Noelia Mena and Pablo Navarrete in collaboration with Roberto Cipresso, a renowned oenologist and consultant, creator of unique wines and author of books about wine. Roberto Cipresso was nominated by Vinos de La Luz and became one of the first nominees for the Wine Travel Awards in the Ambassador category, as well as the Ambassador of the Year category.
The creators of Illuminado Vinos de La Luz Santa María Valley 2018 say that this unique terroir has connected four exceptional wine regions of the Old and New Worlds.
We remind you that voting for the Wine Travel Awards nominees will commence on March 1. And who knows, maybe the winner will celebrate his or her victory sipping a glass of one of Iluminado wines. But one thing is known: no matter, which bottle of Iluminado Vinos de La Luz is on your table, it is always a sign of a festive occasion, a touch of something unique, and, undoubtedly, manifestation of a good taste.
