The Global Culinary Travel Awards

The Global Culinary Travel Awards mark their 10th anniversary this year, celebrating a decade of recognizing destinations, businesses, and professionals who advance culinary culture and strengthen communities through outstanding food and beverage experiences.

In a new announcement, the program’s Founder and Executive Director, Erik Wolf – who also served as a judge of the Wine Travel Awards – invited industry professionals to consider participation in the anniversary edition.

The judging panel for the 2026 Global Culinary Travel Awards brings together a distinguished group of international experts in gastronomy and tourism. The jury includes Erik Wolf, Founder and Executive Director of the World Food Travel Association; Elisa Botto, culinary artist and founder of Bechamels in Paris; Maria Athanasopoulou, founder of Respond on Demand; Janice Ruddock, Executive Director of the Ontario Craft Cider Association; and Niklas Fjellström, representing the Culinary Heritage Network. Together, the panel reflects a broad spectrum of expertise across food, beverage, and destination development.

According to the organizers, winners gain meaningful advantages across several key areas:

  • Award recipients are presented to industry decision-makers, media representatives, and respected professionals in the global food and beverage tourism sector.
  • Multi-channel recognition helps strengthen business partnerships and build trust with travelers worldwide.
  • Each winner receives a premium acrylic trophy suitable for display, along with a package of digital marketing assets.

Importantly, the organizers emphasize that the application process has been significantly simplified. There are no essays required; instead, applicants complete a structured PowerPoint template by inserting existing marketing materials. Most participants, the team notes, finish the submission in under 30 minutes.

Applications for the 2026 program are open until April 1.
