Château Kurin: life at the service of nature, taste, art and emotions

Ukraine

Family winery Château Kurin is one of the oldest small wineries in the south of Ukraine. It owns about 40 hectares of vineyards on the southern slopes. The varieties the winery grows are Chardonnay, Riesling, Irshai Oliver, Traminer, Rkatsiteli, Muscat, Cabernet Sauvignon and Saperavi.

The soils of Château Kurin are mainly composed of limestone and red clay. A limestone rock emerges to the surface of the earth, which gives a mineral note to some of the Château Kurin wines.

The winery produces muscats, successful dry Rieslings and red wines. A team of more than 9 people works in a family spirit to produce, distribute and promote an exclusive selection of more than 20 wines. On the territory, there is a motel, cafe, mini-zoo, and recreation areas.

The main goal of the winery is to bring Château Kurin to the level of great vintages of excellence, due to diligent, accurate and attentive work, and to reveal the best of this Ukrainian potential and heritage, promoting this charming and enchanting place. This is life at the service of nature, taste, art and emotions.

According to Denis Khalupenko, the fact that from a small winery you can get into the big world of wines is associated with hard work and ambition, a strong vision and a good dose of Kherson emotionality. And, of course, with a family that fully supports him and the company – and that can continue to run the winery for future generations…

The whole Khalupenko family lives and works in the chateau today. As its personality permeates all stages of its work, the family stands behind every bottle of its name.
