One of the world’s leading wine tour operators, BKWine, has announced its upcoming program for 2025-2026
BKWine, winner of the Wine Travel Awards in the category Travel Operator of the Year, has revealed a list of tours, including both traditional routes in Bordeaux and Burgundy, as well as exotic destinations in the Southern Hemisphere.
Last chance to visit Bordeaux
From 28 September to 4 October 2025, a Bordeaux wine tour will take place. Participants will visit both world-famous palace-like châteaux and small family-owned estates. This tour will show that Bordeaux wines are not only those super-expensive rare bottles sold at auction, but also a vibrant region with smaller wineries offering outstanding value for money. The program includes gastronomic dinners in elegant châteaux, making the tour particularly attractive for lovers of French cuisine and wine.
Winter Wine Tours
In the winter season of 2026, BKWine offers journeys across the Southern Hemisphere.
- Chile and Argentina (12-25 January). The program includes the culture of Buenos Aires, the great malbecs of Mendoza, a spectacular drive across the Andes, and tastings at some of the best wineries in Chile. The tour is fully booked, but registration on the waiting list is available (in case of cancellations).
- South Africa (15-25 February). A journey through the Rainbow Nation* with visits to unique wine regions, from the cool southern coast to the sunny Swartland. The program features some of the best wineries in the country. “We are very proud of the selection of wineries in our program – some of them are real gems that we have discovered over the 15 years of travelling here,” say Britt & Per Karlsson, owners of BKWine. A limited number of places remain available.
- New Zealand (10-25 March). A large-scale route from Auckland to Queenstown** with visits to key wine regions, meetings with pioneering winemakers (the wine industry only took off in the 1980s!), and unique natural attractions: geysers, glaciers, and Maori culture (including dinner with a Maori family). Only a few places remain.
2026 Program
The company is already working on the next routes. Options include Bordeaux, Bordeaux-plus-Champagne, Burgundy-plus-Rhone Valley. By arrangement, BKWine may also organize tours to Loire Valley-plus-Bordeaux, Tuscany, Piedmont, Rioja-and-San Sebastian, Burgundy-and-Jura, and more.

* South Africa is called “The Rainbow Nation” because, after the end of apartheid in 1994, the country brought together many peoples, cultures, languages, and religions. The term was coined by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and later popularized by Nelson Mandela. The rainbow became a symbol of diversity and peaceful coexistence.
** One theory has it that Queenstown was thus named in the gold rush era (they found 100 tonnes of gold) because “the location was so beautiful that it was fit for a queen”.
