In the midsummer of 2021, the presentation of “3 CATS” – Einat Klein’s wines – took place. There had been only 1000 bottles produced. The label was created by Andrei Makarevitch, a famous rock musician, who is also known to be an artist. “3 CATS” wine is a blend of three grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot harvested in 2018 and aged in French oak barrels.
Next up was “4 Cats”, made from four grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. And recently, the winery introduced two new products: “Lonely Cat” – the first monovarietal wine from the Petit Verdot and “3 Other Cats” – Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan and Carignan – this wine is distinguished by high tannin and richness. “Cats” can be bought in sets and this is a great idea when it’s hard to decide. The set consists of three wines: “4 Cats”, “3 Other Cats” and “Lonely Cat”.
“I want to tell the Israeli people and the whole world that Israel is not just archaeology and religion, it is also very decent wines, – she says. – And in this regard, we can’t help but agree with Robert Parker saying that Israeli wines are getting better and better and some of them are just excellent”.
