Drinks+ & Wine Travel Awards Establish Collaboration with Educational Organization The Porto Protocol
The international project Wine Travel Awards, initiated by Drinks+, has established a mutually beneficial collaboration with the educational organization The Porto Protocol.
As part of this partnership, The Porto Protocol has been nominated in the category Education in Enotourism/Unique Program, while its member winemakers have been put forward as The Visiting Card of the Country/Progressive Approach – recognition of their innovative and modern practices in winemaking and education.
The Porto Protocol is an international initiative that unites the wine industry in response to climate change. Founded in 2019 by Taylor’s Port, it has grown into a global network of more than 250 members from 20 countries across 5 continents, covering the entire winemaking cycle – from vineyards to consumers. The main goal of The Porto Protocol is to drive action to mitigate the effects of climate change and promote sustainable development in the wine industry. The initiative provides a platform for sharing practical solutions, scientific research, and successful case studies, enabling participants to implement effective climate strategies and exchange expertise.
This collaboration highlights the commitment of Drinks+ & Wine Travel Awards to support education and innovation, shaping the future of wine tourism and winemaking.
