Welcome Drink
Fladgate Still & Sparkling Wines, Portugal, Vinho Verde DOC
With a refined portfolio and an ambitious international strategy, Fladgate Still & Sparkling Wines aims to bring the best of Portuguese winemaking to a global audience, blending innovation with the time-honoured wisdom of generations. Quinta da Pedra, one of the exceptional estates from the company portfolio, is devoted to Alvarinho.
Quinta da Pedra is one of the most historical properties in the Alto Minho region, dating back to the 17th century. It is situated in the heart of Monção and Melgaço, a sub region of the Vinho Verde appellation, where Alvarinho excels. The property has 30ha of vineyards, completely dry farmed, benefiting from pure granite soils. The vines, seated in a very gentle valley, benefit from plain solar exposure for perfect ripeness. Two wines are produced here: Milagres by Quinta da Pedra, which is our “perfect” Alvarinho and Graça da Pedra, which shows a more young version of this variety. Also, back vintages of Milagres can be released from time to time as a “Purple Edition”.

Walk-Around Tasting
VentiVenti, Italy
Ventiventi is a young winery with deep roots in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, driven by the vision of the Razzaboni family. Organic farming, adopted from the very first vineyard planting in 2016, is at the heart of this philosophy. Every vine is grown without synthetic chemicals, respecting natural cycles and preserving biodiversity.
The choice of the Metodo Classico, a strong commitment to sustainability, and an obsessive focus on quality proved to be key differentiators. While the winery champions local grape varieties such as Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce, Sorbara, Ancellotta, and Pignoletto, it also cultivates international varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Traminer. Today, Ventiventi produces over 66,000 bottles across Metodo Classico, Charmat, and still wines.

Monsoon Valley, Thailand
Monsoon Valley was founded in 2001 by Chalerm Yoovidhya, a wine-loving entrepreneur with a vision to create a Thai wine culture. His first vineyard was at Tab Kwang, in beautiful Khao Yai, a region known as the ‘traditional’ grape-growing region of Thailand. Surrounded by national parks and jungle, the choice for this area was perfect as the fertile red soil and convenient climate conditions created the best platform for making opulent and rich Shiraz. After initial success in Tab Kwang, he explored other areas of Thailand that would give birth to great wines.

K’AVSHIRI, Georgia
The outcome of an ambitious project that began in 2018, K’AVSHIRI is a joint venture between Robert Joseph and Vladimer Kublashvili of Winery Khareba.
From the outset, the two men set out to make a totally original wine that showcased a range of Georgian grape varieties and traditional qvevri winemaking.
K’AVSHIRI White is a complex blend of 10 different grape varieties, eight of which are indigenous to Georgia, plus Muscat which also has ancient origins, and the Burgundian Aligoté that was introduced at the beginning of the 20th century.
Nearly 12% of the 2023 Assemblage K’AVSHIRI White – five separate grape varieties – was fermented in qvevri, but 5% was fermented on its skins in stainless steel and 10% benefited from 2nd/3rd year oak barrels.
K’AVSHIRI Red is even more complex, bringing together 9 varieties, including two Georgian white grapes that ere co-fermented with Saperavi and rare Aladasturi grapes that were dried for 10 days before fermentation.
The 2022 Assemblage K’AVSHIRI Red is even more groundbreaking, combining air-dried Aladasturi grapes with Saperavi co-fermented with white Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane grapes. Nearly 24% was fermented in Qvevri.
