Monsoon Valley Vineyards – rich taste of Thailand
The unique climate, high-level service, variety of excursions and entertainment programs, gorgeous beaches of the Gulf of Thailand, the “city of angels” and incredible variety of seafood make Thailand one of the world’s centers of tourism. But it turns out that Thailand is also about great wines. And the proof is Monsoon Valley.
Monsoon Valley’s first vineyard in Tab Kwang, which is located not far from the picturesque Khao Yai region, was chosen for its fertile red soil and favorable microclimate, conditions ideal for cultivating rich, opulent Shiraz.
The winery was founded in 2001 by Chalerm Yoovidhya, a wine-loving entrepreneur with a vision to create a Thai wine culture. When he returned from his studies abroad, Chalerm saw potential in growing grapes in his beloved native Thailand and set out to show the world that great wines can be crafted even at the 13th latitude of the northern hemisphere.
