The Future of Wine Tourism Begins in Bourgogne

France

On 17 June 2026, at the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne, Bourgogne will host Global Wine Tourism Day – an international gathering of wine, tourism, and hospitality professionals.

Initiated by the Wine Travel Awards in partnership with the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne and supported by the Bourgogne Wine Board, this event is designed as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the development of new strategies in wine tourism.

More than a celebration, it is a meeting point for those shaping how wine is experienced, communicated, and discovered today – a space for ideas, collaboration, and future opportunities.

The program will feature:

  • conferences exploring the role of wine heritage in the modern world
  • thematic workshops and masterclasses
  • Wines of the World tastings with producers from various countries
  • professional discussions, including a focus on Women in Wine

The highlight of the day will be the Wine Travel Awards 2026 ceremony, followed by a gala dinner on a newly opened terrace overlooking the vineyards of Bourgogne.

Wine Travel Awards nominee Kateryna Yushchenko (judge.wine/blog) shared in her video the key ideas and arguments explaining why leading visionaries of wine tourism should be in Beaune on June 17.
