In 2025, Wine-Searcher – a global platform specializing in the aggregation and analysis of wine data –  released its ranking of The Most Wanted Wines of Napa Valley 2025. While Wine-Searcher compiles aggregated critic scores, the ratings themselves are sourced from some of the industry’s most respected authorities, including: Wine Spectator, The Wine Advocate (founded by Robert Parker), James Suckling, Jancis Robinson.

Among the top-rated wines, Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon earned an impressive 94 points, affirming its status as one of the most sought-after wines of the region. Critics describe it as “a wine of reputation – aged, structured, and deeply expressive. A pure Cabernet built for longevity.”

Twice a year, Silver Oak brings together its fans to celebrate the release of new vintages – an event that has become a beloved tradition. The next Release Day is scheduled for August 2, 2025, in Healdsburg, where the new vintage of Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will be unveiled.

In February 2025, Twomey, a sister winery owned by Silver Oak, closed two of its three tasting rooms – those located in Calistoga and Anderson Valley. The Calistoga location, opened in 2004, was Twomey’s first tasting room. The closures reflect broader challenges within the wine industry, including economic headwinds. However, the main tasting room in Healdsburg remains open and fully operational.

In April 2025, there was a change in leadership – Jared Fix was appointed CEO of Silver Oak. He succeeded David Duncan, who became Executive Chairman and remains a co-owner. Previously, Fix held executive positions at Toms, Beam Suntory, and Constellation Brands. He is the first CEO of Silver Oak who does not come from the founding family.
