In March 2025, SHUMI Winery & Estate, located in the heart of Georgia’s Kakheti region, earned a prestigious recognition by entering the TOP 100 Premium Wine & Spirits Brands of the World 2024, according to Luxury Lifestyle Awards. This milestone is not only a significant achievement for the company itself – which has previously won multiple Wine Travel Awards –  but also an important moment for Georgian winemaking, which is steadily gaining global recognition.

Luxury Lifestyle Awards annually highlights the best brands across various luxury sectors. Being named among the top premium wine and spirits brands confirms SHUMI’s strong reputation as a producer whose wines can stand alongside the world’s leading houses. The international jury praised both the quality of the wines and the winery’s unique philosophy, combining ancient traditions with modern approaches.

SHUMI has long been more than a winery – it is a cultural hub. In the village of Tsinandali, the estate includes a wine museum, an ethnographic pavilion, collection vineyards, and a guesthouse, offering visitors a full experience of Georgian hospitality. The winery is especially proud of its private grape collection – the largest in the world – with over 2,000 varieties from 47 countries. This collection not only preserves heritage but also revives rare native grapes, forming the basis for unique wines such as Genesis, Shobili, and Zigu, each reflecting creativity and respect for history.

Over its 25 years, SHUMI has won more than 750 international awards and three times been named Georgia’s best producer at prestigious competitions. Inclusion in the Luxury Lifestyle Awards list is a natural continuation of this success, highlighting that Georgian winemaking can compete on the world stage.
