Chateau Chizay

The aged Zakarpattia Brandy “Mukachevo” 8* by Chateau Chizay has been awarded a Gold Medal and the title “Best Product of the Category” at the professional Independent Craft / Ukrainian Craft Spirits Awards 2026.

Independent Craft / Ukrainian Craft Spirits Awards is one of the key professional competitions for Ukrainian spirits, focusing on quality, style, and technological excellence. The evaluation was conducted in a blind tasting format, featuring 144 spirit samples.

For “Mukachevo” brandy, this is already its second major recognition even before its official market launch. Previously, it received a Platinum Medal and was named “Best Strong Spirit” at the Wine & Spirits Ukraine Awards 2026. More than 8 years of aging, classical grape distillate production methods, a noble character, and a deep connection to Zakarpattia define the unique identity of this spirit.

It is also important to note that Chateau Chizay is a winner of the Wine Travel Awards 2025-2026 in the category Brand – the Visiting Card of the Country, which confirms its position as one of the most outstanding representatives of modern Ukrainian winemaking on the international stage.

The “Mukachevo” 8* brandy carries a strong symbolic meaning: it is dedicated to the city of Mukachevo – the place where the history of Chateau Chizay began and a key source of inspiration for the company’s founder. The limited release includes only 1,130 bottles, in honor of the city’s 1,130th anniversary.

The official premiere of the “Mukachevo” 8* brandy is ahead. Pre-orders are already open at chizay.com in the “Shop” section (cognac and brandy collection), where customers can be among the first to select and reserve this limited release. Quantities are strictly limited, offering a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most anticipated Chateau Chizay releases of the season before it enters general sale.
