Bodega La Luz de Rueda. Three elements of the unique formula

Spain

The scale of the DO Rueda vineyards

Vineyards located in three provinces represent DO Rueda. Geographically, they are spread over 72 municipalities, 53 of which are located in the south of Valladolid, 17 in the west of Segovia and 2 in the north of Avila. Rueda’s unique formula includes three “load-bearing” elements: the Verdejo variety (native to the area), the continental Mediterranean climate and gravelly soils.

Striving for the quality wines

Prioritizing the wine quality, Vinos de La Luz selects the best local vineyards for the production of its wines. Until 2019, Spanish Verdejo white wines were produced in three local wineries. In 2020, Vinos de La Luz had the opportunity to expand its portfolio with new lands and the acquisition of another high-quality winery. The small town of La Seca is considered the cradle of the highest quality Verdejo in Rueda. The upcoming 2020 Despertar, Valcerracin, Valpincia and Cinema lines will be created from Verdejo wines that are currently being produced. La Luz de Rueda winery, which includes 40 hectares of vineyards, is expected to launch very soon.
