BKWine Announces Its 2026–2027 Wine Travel Programme
One of the world’s leading wine tourism operators, Swedish company BKWine – a Wine Travel Awards nominee and winner in the Travel Operator of the Year category – has revealed its wine travel programme for the 2026–2027 season. The portfolio includes both classic French wine destinations, such as Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne, and long-haul journeys to some of the Southern Hemisphere’s most exciting wine regions.
Among the first departures is a seven-day Bordeaux experience scheduled for September 13–19, 2026. The itinerary combines visits to renowned estates in the Médoc, Saint-Émilion and Sauternes with memorable gastronomic experiences, including private lunches at wineries and acclaimed restaurants. Travellers will also have the opportunity to discover family-owned properties and engage directly with the people behind the wines.
Another highlight of the programme is the nine-day Burgundy and Champagne Grand Tour, taking place from September 23 to October 1, 2026. Guests will explore some of Burgundy’s most celebrated wine villages, gain insight into the production of world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and meet independent Champagne growers who offer a more personal perspective on one of the world’s most prestigious sparkling wine regions.
The 2027 calendar features an extensive selection of Southern Hemisphere journeys. The Argentina and Chile tour (January 11–24) includes visits to the vineyards of Mendoza, Casablanca and Colchagua, while also showcasing the cultural heritage of Buenos Aires and Valparaíso. South Africa (February 14–24) offers an in-depth look at the Western Cape’s leading wine regions, including Stellenbosch, Walker Bay and Swartland.
A particularly distinctive itinerary is the New Zealand tour, scheduled for March 10–25, 2027. Combining wine, culture and spectacular landscapes, the journey includes visits to key wine regions, meetings with pioneering figures of the New Zealand wine industry and opportunities to experience the country’s unique natural and cultural heritage.
According to the organisers, the defining feature of BKWine’s tours remains their focus on small groups, direct access to winemakers and visits to estates that are often inaccessible through conventional tourism channels. All tours are personally hosted by BKWine founders Britt and Per Karlsson – acclaimed wine authors, international wine judges and respected experts in global wine tourism.
