A great success of a 3-day tour
Hosting and bring the 10th anniversary of the largest digital #winelover community worldwide was a great success. It was a 3-day tour which included a visit to winery and wine tastings, during which guests tasted more than 150 wines from 23 local wineries. It was the last large pre-pandemic wine event, just before the general lockdown.
Wine lover community
The circumstances related to the lack of other events allowed this event to be talked about for a very long time, contributing to the popularization of the Republic of Moldova as a wine tourist destination. Posts, shares, videos on social media resulted in more than 28000 members of the #winelover community. Guests from 11 countries during the tour posted live stories which aroused the interest of travelers and increased the number of requests for the next tourist season, interest kept alive even during the lockdowns caused by the pandemic.
The projects to be proud of
One of the most important projects was to host and organize the 10th anniversary of the largest digital #winelover community worldwide which took place in February 2020. Winetours Moldova hosted guests from 11 countries on this occasion. Apart from that, the company attended the 9th IWINETC International Wine Tourism Conference in Sicily, and its representative delivered a speech on “Promoting Wine Tourism through Wine Events, Republic of Moldova’s Best practice” in March 2017. Another project to mention is business consulting within the SUNRISE Project, development of the regional tourism product, integrated in the cross-border tourism product between Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania and Ukraine. Several platforms were used to present Moldova, those are the regional conference, June-Nov 2021, and the Black Sea Basin professional wine network – WINET, Nov 2021, where Moldova’s evolution in wine tourism was introduced.
