Viktoriya Aleksovych is a wine researcher, Ph.D. candidate, and Master of Sensory Analysis whose work connects wine science, innovative winemaking technologies, and regional wine heritage. She is the owner of the BOUSINAGE® trademark, producing enological oak products that combine scientific research with sustainable winemaking practices.
Viktoriya is co-author of the book “Wine History of Zakarpattia”, a detailed exploration of viticulture and winemaking in the Zakarpattia region from ancient times to the present. The book highlights local grape varieties, harvest traditions, production methods, and wine culture, appealing both to professionals and enthusiasts. The publication has been recognized with the Petro Skunts Literary Award.
Her mission extends beyond research and product development: through her work, publications, and initiatives, Viktoriya actively promotes Ukrainian wine regions – especially Zakarpattia – within the global context of wine tourism and culture.
Academic Achievements
Viktoriya holds a Master’s degree in Sensory Analysis and is pursuing a Ph.D. at Odesa National Technological University, focusing on wine technology.
She has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented her research at major international platforms, including the World Congress of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the International Polyphenols Conference.
