Two Centuries of Traditions and Values

Tosti1820 — this is not only the winery’s name, but a long history including more than 200 years. This family-run winery has been producing still and sparkling wines since 1820, perfecting this art with each vintage. The years of tradition and culture in winemaking have led to the identification of the best areas for growing vines, as well as the best grape processing methods. Such long-standing experience allows Tosti1820 to produce quality sparkling wines with a bright identity. At the current stage, Giovanni Bosca, along with Maria Cristina Castelletto, represent the seventh generation of Tosti’s owners, whereas his sons Giulio and Guglielmo Bosca represent the eighth generation, who are still working in the family business.

Tosti1820 values and traditions are unique, like its bottle, the only one in the world with the belly button, a patent registered and protected internationally.

The Idyllic Land

The sunny hills of this unique area are home to the Tosti1820 vineyards, where the best grapes are grown. And Tosti1820’s most valuable legacy includes 500 suppliers’ families who are passionately cultivating 650 hectares of vineyards. On average, a little more than one hectare of land per family is hand-harvesting grapes! This close long-lasting relationship that is based on trust and uniting the grape growers and Tosti1820, allows the company to fully control the production chain – from the vineyard to the bottle — with the absolute goal of achieving the undisputed quality. The company’s suppliers deliver 14 million grapes to Tosti1820 each year.

With Care for Nature

Located in the very heart of Canelli, Tosti1820 is fortunate to be located in the Moscato Bianco production area with the designation of controlled and guaranteed origin, the area, which is unique in the wine production world and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its beauty.

For Tosti1820, every step of production is not only a process but also a commitment to nature. All production processes take place in compliance with the principles of sustainable development at the social, ecological, and economic levels. It is a culture that unites all Tosti1820 employees who care for and respect the environment. This interaction with nature is not only a philosophy but also a promise of quality in each drop of Tosti1820 wine.

Embracing sustainability, Tosti1820 goes beyond the vineyards, extending its commitment to eco-friendly packaging and energy-efficient practices in winemaking. The winery actively engages in community initiatives, promoting environmental awareness and biodiversity preservation. This holistic approach ensures that every bottle of Tosti1820 not only delights the palate but also reflects a dedication to a greener, more sustainable future.
