Winery Heritage and Vision

Simone Cerruti Wines, nestled in the UNESCO-protected Langhe, represents the epitome of artisanal dedication. Founded in the late 19th century in Castiglione Tinella, this family-owned winery recently underwent a major renovation, completed in August 2021.

Embodying the spirit of four generations of vine-growers, Simone Cerruti, the current steward, began vinifying his own grapes in 2014, marking a new era of innovation. The winery specializes in dry vinified Moscato aged in barriques, boasting a modest yet impressive production of 4,500 bottles annually.

Sustainable Practices and Unique Offerings

Championing sustainable viticulture, Simone Cerruti Wines practices “heroic agriculture,” with all vineyard work done manually and without chemical treatments. Their exclusive use of the term “Vigna” on the Moscato d’Asti label highlights their commitment to quality and tradition.

Wine Portfolio and Touristic Appeal

Simone Cerruti Wines crafts exceptional Moscato Bianco di Canelli-based wines such as Moscato d’Asti, Asti, and Asti secco, typically associated with industrial production but here reimagined with artisanal finesse. The winery also offers EsCAMOtage, a dry, still white wine, among other unique varieties like Passito and Moscato Chinato. Their holistic approach extends beyond winemaking to a holiday farmhouse with agri-camping facilities, complete with a pool, providing a full-bodied experience of rural Italian luxury. This comprehensive offering not only reflects their dedication to quality wine production but also their engagement in enhancing wine tourism, positioning them as a beacon of the region’s viticultural heritage.
