The START-UP WIN Concept

Bernard Magrez invites the most promising start-ups in the wine industry to explore opportunities in wine, vines, wine tourism, and digitization through the industry’s first incubator exclusively dedicated to this sector. Bernard Magrez Start-Up Win stands out as the sole start-up incubator nestled in the heart of the vineyards, situated on a working property. Its strategic location offers proximity to numerous esteemed Bordeaux wine estates. This unique setting provides an immersive experience for start-ups to thrive within the rich viticultural environment. Additionally, Incubateur Bernard Magrez Start-Up Win fosters innovation and collaboration, serving as a catalyst for the growth of emerging businesses in the wine industry. The incubator offers a dynamic ecosystem where start-ups can benefit from not only the expertise of Bernard Magrez but also the collective knowledge of a network deeply rooted in the wine sector.

Bernard Magrez

To remain a leader, it is essential to innovate. It is for this reason that I have endowed my properties with a Scientific Research center directed by a Doctor in oenology several years ago. Supporting young start-ups today in order to reinvent the wine world of tomorrow is the continuity of this approach, and it is a fascinating experience! — says Bernard Magrez, a prominent French wine magnate renowned for his ownership of Bordeaux wine estates: Château La Tour Carnet, Château Pape Clément, Château Fombrauge, and Clos Haut-Peyraguey.

Bernard Magrez Gives You the Keys to Success

Fully financed by the Bernard Magrez house, devoid of any reliance on public subsidies, the Bernard Magrez Start-Up Win incubator aligns with the philanthropic initiatives of the Bordeaux owner, who fervently supports endeavors such as the fight against cancer, contemporary artists, classical musicians, and fully sponsors an orphanage housing 80 children.

The extraordinary setting of the incubator further amplifies the distinctiveness of this venture. Situated within Château le Sartre, surrounded by vast hectares of forest and nature, including 50 hectares of premium vines in the Pessac Léognan appellation, it offers selected start-ups a unique workspace. This environment fosters exceptional concentration, absolute serenity, and an inspiring communion with nature, revealing its secrets of resilience, meditation, and knowledge.

These unparalleled conditions set this incubator apart from any other in the field.

Bernard Magrez Start-Up Win extends to project leaders, entrepreneurs, and start-ups:

Bernard Magrez Start-Up Win includes two incubators:

  • Bordeaux — Château Le Sartre

Just 20 minutes from the Bordeaux metropolis, Château Le Sartre is located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Modern and fully-equipped, it’s in the immediate vicinity of many renowned wine estates, and although it’s right in the center of the vineyards and the heart of the action, it’s only a stone’s throw from Bordeaux, so you can combine days in the vineyards with evenings in the city center!

  • Strasbourg — The International Wine Academy in Alsace

Located in Landersheim in the Grand Est region of France, 30 minutes from Strasbourg, AIVA is at the heart of Europe, in a quiet, green setting accessible by public transport from the surrounding towns. The proximity of Strasbourg airport and the TGV train station is a further asset to the international dimension of our incubator.
