A Legacy of Tradition and Innovation

In the picturesque town of Castagnole delle Lanze, in the heart of Piedmont, lies Dogliotti 1870, a historic winery that embodies over 150 years of passion, craftsmanship, and innovation in winemaking. Established by the Dogliotti family in 1870, the winery has built its reputation on producing exceptional Moscato d’Asti and other fine wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Dogliotti 1870’s journey began as a small family venture, where the founders focused on crafting high-quality wines that honored the traditions of Piedmont. Today, the winery combines this rich heritage with modern techniques, ensuring the perfect balance of tradition and innovation in every bottle. At the core of the winery’s philosophy are two guiding principles: tradition and innovation. These values harmoniously coexist in every bottle, as the winery works to create a perfect balance between the timeless classics of the past and the forward-looking spirit of modernity. Moscato d’Asti DOCG remains the flagship of Dogliotti 1870, celebrated for its fresh and aromatic profile, delicate sweetness, and effervescence. Alongside their Moscato, the winery produces a diverse portfolio of red, white, and sparkling wines, each crafted with the same dedication to excellence that has defined their name for generations.

Moscato d'Asti Berlet and Selezione di Erik: A Modern Twist on Tradition

Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante are the wines through which the iconic sweetness of the Moscato grape is passed down, becoming symbols of the winery’s rich history and tradition. These modern interpretations, born from Erik Dogliotti’s visionary approach, include Moscato d’Asti Berlet and Moscato d’Asti Selezione di Erik.

Selezione di Erik offers a personal twist on the classic Moscato d’Asti. Traditionally enjoyed as a young, fresh wine, this version is crafted to enhance its aging potential, creating a unique expression of the grape that matures beautifully over time.

Moscato d’Asti Berlet, on the other hand, was conceived as a tribute to the family’s historic vineyard in Castagnole delle Lanze. The “Vigna Barletta” vineyard provides the grapes for this distinctive Moscato d’Asti, and its name is honored in the wine. In collaboration with Pasticceria Comba of Torino, the winery also created Pan Berlet—a traditional panettone made using the vasocottura technique, then soaked in their Moscato d’Asti DOCG Berlet, adding an extra layer of indulgence and pairing perfection.

Awards, Recognitions, Commitment to Sustainability

Dogliotti 1870 has received numerous awards and accolades for its exceptional wines, solidifying its place as a leader in the world of Moscato d’Asti and beyond. The winery’s dedication to quality, innovation, and sustainability continues to earn the respect of wine critics and enthusiasts worldwide. The Dogliotti family is deeply committed to preserving the environment and maintaining the biodiversity of their vineyards. By adopting sustainable practices and minimizing their ecological footprint, they ensure that the land’s unique character will be preserved for future generations.
