As a seasoned multilingual wine journalist, Daniel garnered extensive experience across the gastronomy and wine industries. He has a rich background in wine education, judging in prestigious competitions, and contributing to renowned publications.
Throughout his career, Daniel has made a significant impact in the wine world as a correspondent for Meininger’s Wine Business International, where he has been reporting on the Argentine wine industry for over 17 years. He has also contributed his expertise to the magazines such as Fine Wines and Wine Press, offering valuable insights into the global wine market.
Founder of international competitions
In addition to his work in journalism, Daniel is the founder of the International VinoSub30 Competition, an international wine competition with editions across Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, and Brazil. He has also served as a judge in renowned wine competitions such as MundusVini Germany and the Sydney International Wine Competition Australia, and Michelangelo South Africa.
Educating and sharing his expertise
Daniel’s dedication to the wine industry extends to teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. He has developed and taught courses on wine marketing and commercialization at the Faculty of Agronomy UBA and the University of San Andrés, and he also conducts wine appreciation and wine tourism classes at the National University of La Plata, Argentina.
