Bodega Luce de La Luz: wine from the heart of Tuscany

Italy

After the vineyards were located in Val D′orcia and at the foot of Mount Amiata, in Tuscany, the winery in Montalcino was constructed to produce the region’s best Sangiovese.

Italian masterpieces Vinos de La Luz are born 10 minutes from the city of Montalcino, in the buildings of an old factory. Its transformation into a modern winery required a lot of investment. Today these are modernized workshops with steel tanks for vinification, a room for aging in oak barrels and an atmospheric tasting room. The winery is run by the talented oenologist Roberto Cipresso. The vineyards are located literally 100 m from the production, in the Val d’Orcia nature reserve. 30-year-old vines occupy 12 hectares (7000 vines / hectare) and grow at an altitude of 250 m above sea level, on silt and clay soils. Great Italian wines with Vinos de La Luz DNA are created here. The vintages of the last 5 years have been evaluated by experts as “excellent” and guarantee a bright future for wines.

Cinema PARAISO Italia is created from grapes of 12-year-old vines. It is aged for 12 months in old oak. This wine is rich and elegant. Delicate flavor with dominant tones of red berries, cherries, blueberries, notes of spices, licorice and tobacco, and a hint of graphite. Harmonious acidity and long-lasting aftertaste.

Cinema Italia is one of the “sisters” of the international Cinema line. The name is a tribute to the history of Italian cinema and, at the same time, the genealogy of Ricardo F. Nunez, owner of Vinos de La Luz. The wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barrels. It is balanced and has a deep ruby colour.

At the bottom of Monte Amiata, at 420 metros above sea level, the Sangiovese grapes are grown for Iluminado Vinos de La Luz. The unharnessed, rocky soils furnish the identity and tradition of Montalcino, the most beautiful valley in Tuscany. Particularities of production: fermentation in conical oak jars, with selected yeast, aging – 12 months in new French oak barrels, then in bottles.
